Rye Valley is an Americana band from Northeast Ohio. Founding members Brett Auerbach and Landon Kearns were introduced to each other at an iconic NEOH open mic hosted at the Silver Swan Tavern.
After nearly a decade of casual collaboration, Auerbach and Kearns joined forces in 2021 to create Rye Valley. Rye Valley showcases Auerbach’s original songwriting and Kearns talented multi-instrumentalism.
In April, they released their first studio album titled “Miss River”.
Elliot John-Conry has been in the guitar repair business since 1994, when he started working for Dan Erlewine. Elliot worked with Dan for 23 years repairing stringed instruments, building guitars, and providing consulting services to companies in the guitar industry. Elliot worked for 7 years as a research and development engineer at Stewart MacDonald, focusing on lutherie tools and products.
Now Elliot runs EJC Guitars, a full service guitar repair and building shop, also offering custom parts, tools and workshops in stringed instrument repair.
John Bowman is an American musician.
He started his musical journey at the age of 10 on the drums. He then decided to begin playing bass guitar at 14 years old. He performed on bass with bands in high school. He then discovered the guitar talents of Randy Rhoads & Edward Van Halen. John then put all his effort into guitar. He was self taught from GFTPM, Guitar World, and Guitar Player magazines.
Enthralled with the neo-classical players of the late 80’s John enrolled in WLSC to study classical guitar.
In the early 90’s John studied Jazz and earned a scholarship to Dusequne’s Summer Guitar Workshop. At this time he also received a partial scholarship to attend Berklee School of Music.
John recorded and released his first solo CD in 1997 entitled RUNES. It was distributed by Golden Dog Records USA. The song “Beast Within” was played on KNAC.com
He has been signed to Reptile Records (2005) out of Nashville TN and JamSync (2010) out of Baltimore MD. Both labels released music internationally.
John has toured most of the United States performing at Festivals such as Jamboree in the Hills, North Dakota Rock Festival, Star Lake Amphitheater, and the Jägermeister Mobile Stage.
He was a demonstrating artist for Spectraflex Cables at Summer NAMM 2007.
He was a demonstrating artist for Ace Pro Guitars at the Winter NAMM 2010.
John is a product artist for Dunlop Mfg, & Spectraflex Cables.
Benjamin E. Rios from Detroit, Michigan. Has played the many stages throughout his early musical career in and around the Detroit area in several bands. Living in Ohio for several years and starting his band RIOS and playing in and around the Cleveland area.
Benjamin spent about 7 years in Texas starting a RIOS band in the San Antonio area and playing many stages in that region and a few larger cities. Benjamin has been recording and playing with many musicians throughout his career. Started Rios Guitar Co. In 2019 in Medina, Ohio and has had several notable builds for Suzi Quatro, Paul Nelson, David Pastorius, Lars Chappell, and working on a guitar for Pat Travers and a bass for Rhonda Smith. Benjamin has a smooth and fun style of playing.
Benjamin loves playing various styles of music and is constantly writing. He is currently working on a new record and is part of the writing and recording session team that is in the works at Black Sheep Audio & Production in Novi, Michigan.
MELIA will be conducting a songwriting clinic. She has worked with a multi Grammy winning producer/engineer and her most recent album is being released in early spring 2024!
